LAUNCH & WORKSHOPS

Nike's Re-Creation Program Arrives In London…

Mid-last year, Nike introduced its new Re-Creation program — utilizing locally-sourced vintage attire upcycled into fresh garments by regional creatives. The project headed to Los Angeles for its first instalment and sold a series of fleece hoodies and crewnecks inspired by LA sports culture.

Now, Nike revives its Re-Creation program across major European cities. Slated to arrive in London and Paris, this edition focuses on the future of athletes in sport and will debut collaborations with London-based design project Greater Goods.

The collection will supply reimagined vintage products, transforming them into innovative garments for adventurous city athletes. The pieces combine Nike’s competitive origins with the DNA of each designer. First, dated Nike crewnecks and hoodies are refurbished with frayed checkered designs.

Greater Goods hosted a one-day workshop on the 2nd-floor cube of Nike Town London. Are You Mad custom-designed a hanger from the waste collected from the flagship store. At the workshop where people were getting their clothes customised, we finished the process using our injection machine and provided a hanger to complete the look.
